A Maui Sights & Treasures Review…
A Maui sports fishing tour with Rascals is a GREAT choice for spending a beautiful day out on the Ocean! We couldn’t of picked a better day, and the water was so calm. We went pretty far out along the Maui coast, I thought he was taking us to the Big Island! You could see it in the distance…
The ocean vessel was a gorgeous 43 ft. Bertram Sport Fishing Yacht. It was spacious and clean, with and air-conditioned cabin, entertainment center, shaded back deck, and top of the line equipment (gold Penn International Reels). Which all of the guys on board were super impressed by!
We got up early and checked in at 5:45am. The crew was there to greet us along with two other couples schedule to fish that day.
We sat down on the leather wrap around couch in the spacious, air conditioned cabin, while the captain went over everything we needed to know about our fishing tour.
We were each assigned a fishing pole and given instructions on how to reel the fish in. I was up deck enjoying the view when I was told that my line was going off! I hurried down the stairs and another line was going off for one of the other girls too. Unfortunately, her fish got away, but mine did not. I was told by our crew man to sit in the middle seat and start reeling. It was a pretty good workout and I reeled in my first fish. I caught a beautiful Mai Mai (dorado).
The day just kept getting better one of the other girls caught a nice Ono (Wahoo). It was a girls day for fishing, because the guys did not catch any that day…. Although, we all had a great time!
Overall, it was a really fun day and the Rascal’s crew made it so easy. They are very knowledgeable and hard working. They did everything to make it very fun and enjoyable .
When I first made the choice to go Sport Fishing I was a little weary about the decision I made to go with my husband and spend 6 hrs fishing. This is more his thing (fishing), but it soon became Mine! 🙂 To my Surprise it was one of the most enjoyable and memorial days yet!
