Aloha from Maui! For 1 of the cheapest Dinner Cruises in Hawaii, the Quicksilver does a surprisingly good dinner cruise. I count myself lucky to have been able to enjoy Quicksilver’s Prime Rib Sunset Dinner Cruise on several occasions, and each time the crew is always so upbeat and friendly!
Dinner is catered by Beach Bums Bar and Grill, also located in Maalaea Harbor Village, where the Quicksilver departs from. I have never been disappointed, the Prime Rib is excellent as is the sweet Teriyaki Chicken that is served in addition to the Prime Rib. You may also choose the Island Fish entrée, which also comes with Teriyaki Chicken. Sides include Roasted Potatoes, Stir-fried Veggies, and Caesar Salad etc.
As you arrive on board, there is a display of appetizers waiting for you and once the boat departs the Harbor, your crew will come around with free drinks for everyone!
While the Quicksilver will take 150 passengers each evening (they have the same day special that practically guarantees they will go out full) there is still plenty of room. I recommend going a bit early as the Quicksilver is the only boat that actually starts boarding at the check-in time. Go early for best choice of seats, be that upstairs or downstairs- inside or out on the deck.
Sunset Dinner Cruises are always popular here in Hawaii, however, when the Humpback Whales are here, Sunset Cruises become even more enjoyable, as you get to whale watch as well. It can be very exciting as many times the whales will come right up by boat!
On one recent Dinner Cruise on the Quicksilver, we tucked into one of the secluded coves along the cliffs and we had Spinner Dolphins hanging out with us during dinner, for at least 20-30 minutes. Quicksilver offers live music, usually 1 or 2 Musicians. A little known tidbit…the Owner of the Company himself plays guitar somewhat regularly…
If you are looking for romantic dinner cruise or want to “get your party on” then this is not the cruise for you, however, if you are looking to have a nice dinner with a few drinks (3) and save a few dollars, we highly recommend the Quicksilver’s Sunset Prime Rib Dinner Cruise.
