Parasailing is Back! Each year when the whales arrive in Maui waters, parasailing, jet skiing and other fast boats have to halt their business for about 6 months. But, they are free to resume Spring and Summer Maui ocean activities starting May 15th!

Parasailing is so easy… you almost have the same sensation as skydiving, except you don’t have to jump out of a plane! Maui parasailing is safe and fun for the entire family. The minimum age for parasailing on Maui is 3 years old.

UFO Parasail, innovators in the Hawaii travel industry, are an excellent choice! First, you meet on beautiful Ka’anapali Beach for check in. Then, guests are transported out to the parasail boat in a little dingy. Ka’anapali is such an awesome beach for parasailing with beautiful views!

UFO limits their trips to eight passengers so guests have more time in the air. The crew is dynamite, and they definitely joke around to ease any anxieties you may have! When it’s your turn, you sit on the back deck of the boat, they secure you to the harness, and winch you out slowly, as you gradually begin to float up. Wow! It is so amazing!During my parasailing experience, I could not get over how quiet and peaceful it was… just awesome, and the panoramic views! They are totally unbelievable!

At one point in time, the guides slow the boat and you start to descend. You feel like you’re in a real parachute falling from the sky, but then, they take off and again you go up! It’s your choice if you want to get dipped in the ocean… I did it, and it was totally a big part of the fun! For sure…

I would recommend Maui parasailing for everyone! Any age, 70, 80, whatever! You can go alone, tandem, or even 3 at time (weight permitting). The harness is comfortable and most important, the experience is very safe. Take-offs and landings from the back of the boat are completely dry and easy for all skill levels. Overall, parasailing in Ka’anapali was definitely one of my favorite Maui adventures so far. This is definitely a must do activity when you are in Hawaii.
