Family Friendly Fishing Trip

6 HR. Maui Bottom & Sport Fishing Combo trip departs 4 days a week from Ma’alaea Harbor.

One of the few Maui Bottom fishing excursions. Great family-friendly fishing trip. Fish for Snappers with a chance to get a Tuna or Mahi Mahi while trolling to the Bottom fishing grounds.

Locations for the day are determined by what’s been biting recently, as well as current weather conditions.

What will you be catching you ask? The variety of species of fish includes many varieties of snappers, Trevallies, wrasses, as well as sea bass and the occasional shark.

Bottom fishing anglers are allowed to keep their catch!  The Strike Zone’s Captain and Crew even give you a few tips on how best to prepare your fish for dinner!

On the way to and from our bottom fishing destinations, Strike Zone Fishing here on Maui, trolls for big game to make the most of their running time.

By doing this, they have a chance of hooking up to any or all of the classic big game trophy fish such as marlin, yellowfin and skipjack tuna, mahi-mahi, and ono. Any bottom fishing anglers who are into experiencing the thrill of big game fishing and the reward of mounting their catch are encouraged to participate.

Your lines will be in the water as soon as you leave the harbor, so there is no time wasted waiting to get to the “fishing grounds” as our Big Game can be caught anywhere!

Hawaii Fishing Licenses Are REQUIRED

After more than a decade of planning, the Department of Land and Natural Resources now requires a $20.00 per day fee for each fisher over the age of 14. Active military members and their immediate family are exempt.

Each fisher must register individually at fishing.hawaii.gov/register.
