There are a lot of family fun activities for the Fourth of July Holiday here in Hawaii!
Every Year on Maui, Makawao, Maui's "Paniolo" (Hawaiian Cowboy) town, hosts a 4th of July Weekend Parade and Rodeo to kick off the states largest weekend of Rodeo events. People will come from all over the Island to visit what we call "up country" to see the parade, shop in the cute little shops in Makawao, have lunch in one of the many quaint restaurants before going up to the Rodeo. There will be shuttle running from Makawao Town to the Maui Rodeo.
On 4th of July night, Fireworks are normally held up in Lahaina, occasionally in Wailea. There are many 4th of July party boats & dinner cruises that will watch the fireworks from the Ocean. See our Fourth of July Cruises in the Ocean section of this web site. *updated 5/27/2012> Pride of Maui is now SOLD OUT for the 4th of July 2012; check out our Fourth of July page or call us and talk to a live sales rep @ 888-841-9155 toll free for 4th of July cruises that are still available on Maui.
Waikiki/Honolulu on O'ahu has some of the largest fireworks in the state; once again many boats will be departing Waikiki Beach and the Marina for a great Hawaiian 4th of July Fireworks show from the Ocean. During the day there will be a parade through Waikiki.
