Makawao Parade
Celebrate the 4th of July weekend by watching the Makawao 4th of July Parade that kicks off the hugely popular Makawao Rodeo! Go early for best parking and viewing. Kamoda’s Bakery is a must for the best Cream Puffs on Maui! Pollie’s will be open for Breakfast and Bloody Mary’s if you want to grab a bit to eat before the Parade. My favorite part of the Makawao Parade is the Pa’u Riders; Hawaiian wahine (women) riding Horses decorated in huge Flower Leis! Back in the 1800s, there were some thirty or forty Hawaiian women all, superb horsewomen dressed gorgeously in native riding costumes. Today you usually only see the Pa’u Riders participating in Parades on all the major Hawaiian Islands. The Pa’u Riders and their Horses are very beautiful to watch!
64 TH Makawao Rodeo
The Makawao Rodeo weekend kicks off on Friday night with the Bull Bash and after Party! The four-day event features both amateur and professional rodeo exhibitions including bull riding, calf roping, mugging, bronco riding, and breakaways.
There will be a Shuttle to/from Makawao Town and the Rodeo Arena

4th of July Fireworks show
4th of July Fireworks are traditionally held in Lahaina. All of the Lahaina shops and restaurants get together to finance the 4th of July Fireworks in the hope you will spend money in Lahaina before and after the 4th of July Independence Day Fireworks Show. Allow extra time for finding a place to park, you may think of taking a Taxi or Uber to avoid parking fees and finding a place to park.
The best way to view the Lahaina Maui 4th of July Fireworks display is from the deck of a boat!
